Lenovo ThinkCentre Tiny — Vented Lid (M700 / M900)

A remix of my M720q lid, adapted for the M700 and M900. The chassis is essentially the same but mounting and front panel differ slightly, so it needed its own version. Works as a facelift for these older units as much as a functional upgrade.

Compatibility

  • M700 ✓
  • M900 ✓

Variants

Two intake styles, each available in Simple and Detailed:

  • Fan intake — single circular opening positioned directly over the CPU cooler fan
  • Vented — three large honeycomb openings for increased airflow

The Detailed version includes ThinkCentre text and deflectors built into the lid — the deflector parts need to be printed in translucent PETG.

Print settings

  • Material: PETG recommended or higher to avoid heat deformation
  • Layer height: 0.2mm
  • Infill: 10% Gyroid
  • Wall generator: Arachne
  • PETG on smooth PEI: use a release agent like hairspray or glue stick to protect your plate
  • Heatset insert: M4xL4xOD5 required for the rear attachment point

3mf file with preconfigured settings is included

Notes

Two vertical beams divide the vented area into three sections, adding rigidity to the lid. It can be printed without supports, but I really recommend using the supports preconfigured in the 3mf file — they help reduce wobbling during printing.
