AMS-HT Front Cross Brace Enhancement for BaBu Duo
Print Profile(1)

Description
Hello world!
As many have mentioned, the BaBu Duo stacker system is a great design. I have 3 AMS-HT and have the same concern with the sag in the middle of the tray due to the weight. I was also concerned that the front of the AMS-HT’s were not secured. My model is the cross brace across the front of this model by https://makerworld.com/en/@Willi3D https://makerworld.com/en/models/1744237-babo-duo-ams-ht-drawer-stacker#profileId-1853792
I designed this cross brace to address both points. It screws to the front mounting holes of the AMS-HT and sandwiches the bottom of the AMS-HTs with the bottom of the AMS-HT tray and does not require any modifications. It stiffens across this plane and secures the AMS-HT’s to the tray along the front.
I designed 2 versions. One is for printers that support printing the brace in one piece and the other for those that need to print the brace in multiple pieces. I think I like the multi-piece better overall for the stiffness of the brace.
I also designed a revised back distance holder (without the middle section) so it is not quite as structural as the original but provides some stability while also allowing for any accessory mounting (mounting holes are same spacing). I am utilizing them for a universal power strip bracket and for a power supply and other cable and tube management I am toying with.
Let me know if you try this and if it addresses your needs.
I am new to this designing/uploading process so if I've made a misstep, it was not intentional and will be addressed.
Update June 18, 2026: Had a request for the back distance holders in multi-piece print option. I have not learned how to do the dovetail joints in CAD so I did the scab plate like I did for the bottom brace. This is plate 4.
For all components, do not tighten the screws all the way until all are started and then tighten them a little at time going in cross pattern until all are tight. Probably do not need the middle screws on each side of the split for the back distance holders but leaving them.
Feedback appreciated.
Regards,
John
