Atomstack m100 x20 Laser Head Cover
Print Profile(1)

Description
Cover for the Atomstack m100 head, corresponds to the x20 laser model.
Modeled from scratch, based on my own.
It arises from the need to increase the airflow entering through the same cover to cool the head, and as a preliminary design for a possible support for the power supply voltage converter board, and a cross laser pointer as a 0.0 point marker.
Always trying to improve what we have.
This all stemmed from another design I downloaded and printed, but it didn't meet my expectations beyond what I hoped for. The screws were too tight, and I had to screw them in from the first thread. The interior design was too rough. The air inlet design was not symmetrical, and it was quite ugly and small.
It seemed easier to recreate my own than to try to modify a model from the internet, so here it is.
- Monoblock printing with a single element, since the original has a protrusion for the air assist tube and could not be printed on the bed, I have simplified that element. Added some interior ribs that grip the tube better.
- Adjusted wall measurements, including the original tabs that fit into the head, prevents vibrations.
- Removed a horizontal support that required detaching the power cable to remove the cover; this way, the cover can be removed, and preventive cleaning maintenance can be done more often without removing the cable each time. This prevents cable breakage.
- Added an arc-shaped recess to each side of the power cable area, in case cables need to be routed when changing the fan and the plug is not to be modified. In my case, I have the external head board to connect it.
I am sure it needs adjustments and tweaks, but for that, I need it to be downloaded, printed, and used, and for you to tell me what can be improved.
