Description

The Royal Duo: Red King & White King | "Through the Looking-Glass" Chess

“He's dreaming now,” said Tweedledee: “and what do you think he's dreaming about? ... Why, about you! And if that there King was to wake, you'd go out—bang!—just like a candle!” “The horror of that moment,” the White King went on, “I shall never, never forget!”

The board is set, the battle is raging, but who are all these pieces fighting for? The time has come for the most important, yet most helpless figures in the Grand Game to take their thrones!

Introducing the ultimate targets of the chessboard: The Red King and The White King.

About the Models

These are not your standard, rigid chess pieces. Each King is a masterpiece of character design, sitting upon an intricately detailed throne adorned with gears, floral motifs, and symbolic artifacts:

  • 🔴 The Red King: Fast asleep on his magnificent throne, holding a spoon. Is he dreaming up the entire Looking-Glass world? Just be careful not to wake him, or the whole game might vanish!

  • The White King: Awake, slightly anxious, and clutching his important scroll (or perhaps his memorandum book). He needs to record every move before his poor memory forgets it entirely!

Both models were meticulously sculpted from scratch. Despite the incredible richness of detail—from the textures of their royal robes to the mechanical gears on their thrones—they are fully optimized for FDM printing to ensure a clean, stunning result right off your build plate.

⚙ Royal Printing Tips (Settings)

To ensure these thrones are printed with all the majesty they deserve:

  • Layer Height: 0.16 mm or lower is highly recommended to capture the fine gears, facial features, and fabric textures.
  • Supports: Tree (organic) supports are recommended for the overhangs around the armrests, the Kings' hands, and the crowns.
  • Infill & Weight: 15-20% for the main body. To give these crucial pieces a premium, heavy tabletop feel, use modifiers in your slicer to print the base at 100% infill.

♟ The Grand Game Continues (Collection)

Your Looking-Glass chessboard is almost complete. The Kings are joining a massive roster of iconic characters.

Previous Moves:

White Pawn Alice — Every great adventure begins with a single step. Have you helped her reach the Eighth Rank yet?

Red Queen — She dictates the pace of the entire game and demands flawless execution. A formidable antagonist, without whom the collection would be incomplete.

Tweedledum & Tweedledee — The contrary White Bishops securing your diagonals. Make sure to add this argumentative duo to your board before they start a battle of their own!

Humpty Dumpty — The scholarly Red Rook sitting precariously on his wall.

White Unicorn — The elegant White Knight, ready to clash with the Lion!

Red Lion — The mighty Red Rook.

White Queen — a majestic and beautifully chaotic.

🌼 The Next Move: The Talking Flowers

“We can talk, if there's anybody worth talking to.” A King needs loyal subjects to protect him! The next pieces to bloom on our board will be the enchanting White and Red Daisies, stepping in to fill the roles of the Pawns. Follow the profile so you don't miss these beautiful, gossiping flowers!
