Description
This is a spool holder for the right side, which brings the roll further forward and requires no additional parts such as screws or ball bearings. The arm can be pulled out upwards together with the spool, allowing the printer to be placed close to the wall. For the PTFE guide, the upper part of the original spool holder can simply be inserted.
The spool holder is attached to the two spool holder adapters pre-installed on the X2D from the factory. For the P2S, a second adapter is needed (can be printed). Attachment is only possible on the right side (viewed from the front), as only there are both screw points for the adapters available. Additionally, the holder should be secured at the front end with VHB tape to the printer so that it does not wobble.
The print settings prioritize stability over time or weight savings. The upright support of the arm is not optimal, but the arm should be round and was therefore internally stabilized. The support interface should definitely be printed from a different material, otherwise it will be very difficult to remove.
