Description
Odysseus, King of Ithaca – The Wanderer Returns
Bring a piece of Greek mythology to your desk with this highly detailed figurine of Odysseus, the legendary King of Ithaca. Known for his cunning mind and his ten-year journey home after the Trojan War, Odysseus stands as a symbol of perseverance, intelligence, and the unbreakable human spirit.
This model captures the hero in a moment of stoic reflection, clad in his iconic armor and cape, ready to face whatever trials the gods might throw his way.
🏛️ The Legend
After the fall of Troy, while others returned home, Odysseus began an epic odyssey. He faced the Cyclops, outsmarted the Sirens, and survived the wrath of Poseidon. After twenty years away from his kingdom, he returned not just as a warrior, but as a legend. This figurine represents the strength of a man who conquered monsters with his mind as much as his sword.
🖨️ Print Settings & Recommendations
To achieve the look seen in the photos, I used the following settings:
- Printer: Optimized for high-detail printing.
- Layer Height: 0.16mm (perfect balance between speed and fine detail).
- Walls: 2 Walls (provides great surface finish).
- Infill: 8% (Grid or Gyroid recommended for stability).
- Filament used: ~54g of PLA.
- Print Time: Approx. 3h 10m.
- Supports: Minimal supports may be needed depending on your printer's bridging capabilities (check the cape and sword hilt).
This model is a fantastic project for painters or anyone who loves classical history and mythology. The 0.16mm layer height ensures that the textures of the leather armor and the folds of the cape are crisp and clear.
