AeroSpire: Motorized Kinetic Turbines
Bring the futuristic aesthetic of high-altitude wind farms to your desk. The AeroSpire is a motorized kinetic sculpture that features a synchronized triple-gear system. When powered, the three spires rotate in unison, creating a mesmerizing, fluid motion that serves as the perfect "Zen" accent for any workspace.
For the contest, i read through the theme and details of the contest and it mentions for the desk. I wanted something soothing, and spinning on my desk but with no wind inside… i added a small motor to help out! I really love the exposed gears as you can see the components all working in symmetry.
With it also aligning as a sci-fi rendition or clean simplified version on horizontal wind turbines.
One thing i did not want was a squeaky thing on my desk, i added small circles under the gears to significantly reduce the surface tension touching between the moving objects. This did 2 things, reduce sound, and over time wont see any scratching around the edges. will look great for many years! or untill your motor breaks! lol I've got a little over 18 hours on mine so far and no sign of wear! Let me know if you see anything else that could be improved on! :D
This model is designed for easy printing and assembly. The interconnected gear base ensures that a single motor drives all three spires simultaneously, maintaining perfect timing and symmetry. NO SUPPORTS OR GLUE

Inspirations
Some of my favorite models on MakerWorld : @Ankochiu 's Moving Models with a simple USB motor. This Turbine project is my introduction to the complexity and tight tolerances. Not nearly as complex as the Manta Ray or the Sealion, but its a start! :D
