Ice Pop Holder for Children

Like many toddlers, my daughter has difficulties with classic ice pops:

Since their fine motor skills are not yet fully developed, pushing the ice pop up in a controlled manner is particularly difficult.

Often too much ice is squeezed out of the wrapper at once. This makes it top-heavy, causing it to tip over and land, at best, on the floor, and at worst, on the child.

Additionally, cold hands are also annoying. In that case, one would rather reach for a waffle cone ice cream ;D

This 3D-printed holder solves exactly these problems:

  • Secure Hold: The ice pop is fixed and can no longer tip out
  • Cold Protection: Hands no longer come into direct contact with the icy cold wrapper
  • Child-Friendly Design: Ergonomic for small hands
  • Better Control: Pull the wrapper down piece by piece, pushing the ice pop up.

Ideal for children aged approx. 3–5 years who want to eat ice pops independently.

Operating principle:

  • Cut open the ice pop at the top and push out about 2 cm
  • Thread the wrapper into the slider's slot
  • Place the ice pop completely into the holder
  • As needed, pull the wrapper down and push the printed ring up to hold it

A small tool with a big effect.

At first, handling may feel a bit unfamiliar, but with each use, children will better understand how the holder works.

Since my daughter started using the holder, she no longer complains about cold fingers, and nothing ends up on the floor anymore.

The holder prevents children from uncontrolled squeezing of the ice pop out of its wrapper, which often happens when they just hold it in their fist.
