Description

PSA Rock 5.7 Foregrip / Mag Holder

This is a combined foregrip and spare magazine holder designed for the PSA Rock 5.7 pistol.

It allows you to securely store an extra magazine inside the foregrip while using the pistol. The design also includes a functional mag catch system, similar to the factory Rock mag release, to keep the spare magazine locked in place.

🧩 Parts List (Printed)

This model consists of 4 printed parts:

  1. Main ForeGrip / Mag Holder – Attaches to the pistol and houses all components
  2. Mag Catch Pt. 1 – Interfaces with the magazine to hold it in place, as well as holds the m3x20mm screw
  3. Mag Catch Pt. 2 – External release lever for the mag catch

🛠️ Assembly Instructions

1. Test Fit Components

  • Insert both mag catch pieces into their slots
  • Ensure they move freely
  • Remove any leftover supports if needed
  • Light filing may be required if tolerances are tight

2. Assemble Mag Catch

  • Insert the screw into the mag catch pt 1
  • Tighten until it spins freely
  • Holding the catch with pliers can help here

3. Install Spring

  • Insert mag catch pt 1 (with screw) into its slot
  • Insert the spring into the opposite side of the grip

4. Final Assembly

  • Insert mag catch pt 2 into its slot while compressing the spring
  • Begin tightening the screw

Stop when:

  • The catch feels secure
  • The spring returns the catch properly when pressed

6. Mount to Pistol

  • Slide the foregrip onto the Rock’s rail
  • Secure it using the M4 button head screw and hex nut

Note: You may need to clean up the mounting hole so the screw and nut fit properly. This can vary depending on filament, as some materials handle overhangs worse than others.

✅ Finished!

🧪 Notes & Tips

  • Recommended Filament: Disclaimer: The links below are Amazon affiliate links.
  • Other Materials:
    • PETG: Works well, but has a less premium look
    • ABS/ASA: Not yet tested, but should perform fine
  • Stippling / Texture:
    • The grip texture was created using the fuzzy skin setting in the slicer
    • You can adjust fuzzy skin parameters (thickness, density, etc.) to change the look and feel of the grip to your preference
