Description

This project is a compact, fully external volume control solution designed for classic or high-quality amplifiers that lack remote functionality. It avoids any modification to the amplifier itself, preserving its original circuitry and value.

Key Features

  • Universal Compatibility
Designed to work with virtually any amplifier that uses a rotary volume knob.
  • Non-Invasive Installation
No need to open or modify the amplifier. The module mounts externally and drives the volume knob mechanically.
  • GT2 Belt Drive System
Uses a GT2 timing belt (cut to length) secured with an integrated clamp for precise and reliable motion transfer.
  • Stepper Motor Control
Powered by a widely available 28BYJ-48 stepper motor with ULN2003 driver board, ensuring smooth and controlled rotation.
  • Infrared Remote Control (IR)
Controlled via a VS1838 IR receiver, compatible with virtually any IR remote (TV, DVD, etc.).
  • Custom Remote Mapping
    Includes MicroPython code for:
    • Initial IR signal scanning
    • Button mapping to your chosen remote
  • Visual Feedback
Integrated WS2815 smart RGB LED provides clear status and function indication.
  • Compact Integrated Design
All components have dedicated mounting positions inside the enclosure, including a precise slot for the Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32C3 controller.
  • USB Powered
Runs on standard 5V via USB, compatible with any phone charger.
  • Magnetic Mounting System
Two  channels allow insertion of neodymium magnets (14mm x 3mm) for secure attachment to the amplifier chassis.
