Description
A wall mount for a standard garden hose.
Suitable for standard garden hoses DN12 - 12mm diameter.
These are the most common ones from hardware stores.
When in doubt, simply measure - the outer diameter should be 16-17mm.
The stated hose diameters are always the INNER diameters.
Depending on the quality, hoses generally have an OUTER diameter of 16-17mm.
The clamp I designed has a holding diameter of 17mm, so normal garden hoses are not squeezed but held securely.
Absolutely print on its side to make the clamp more stable.
3D printing is most sensitive along individual layers, so correct print orientation is crucial!
I printed these things in PETG-CF.
PETG or PETG-HF are also good, as are all outdoor-suitable filaments.
DO NOT print with PLA if outdoor use is intended.
For screwing with 4mm screws, or for gluing.
For better adhesive grip, I designed grooves on the underside, which gives the adhesive more surface area and thus better hold.
I actually designed these things for my solar system:
For routing solar cables over edges and wherever a conduit is not possible, I simply use old garden hoses cut lengthwise. Insert solar cables, secure with cable ties (outdoor-suitable!) and attach the hoses with the holders.
That works perfectly!
