Boost Me (for free)

Like my design? I'm a beginner but your boost will help me keep trying to create new/innovative items for the community. Let me know if you need anything different to make this item work better for you :)

Transform your dishwasher capacity with this custom mounting system. Specifically designed to hold the Bosch Dishwasher Cutlery Drawer (with structural rails mounted and wheels removed), this 6-bracket system provides a rock-solid fit that standard generic clips can't match.

The system is designed to be placed on top of the middle rack after you have finished loading it, providing maximum flexibility during kitchen cleanup.

Key Engineering & Fitting Details

  • Clearance: Mounts the 3rd rack exactly 80mm above the middle rack, balancing space for utensils above and tall glassware below.
  • Snug, Non-Snap Fit on middle rack: To ensure ease of use, these adapters do not snap onto the middle rack. Instead, they are designed for a snug gravity fit. This allows you to load your middle rack fully and then simply set the 3rd rack assembly on top.
  • Angled Back Adapters -- Important: Pay close attention to the sides of the back adapters. The lower lateral clip is designed with a specific angle to match the natural inclination of the Bosch structural rail. Ensure the orientation matches your rail's slope during assembly.
  • Series 100 Verified: Perfectly fitted and tested in a Bosch Series 100.
  • Sprinkler Recommendation: If your model lacks a top spray arm, I recommend installing the Bosch top sprinkler for 100% cleaning performance (see photos).
  • 10lb Load Tested: Verified with 10lb (4.5kg) of gym weights to ensure a massive safety margin for your heaviest silverware loads (tested after using for several cycles)

Customization & Support

I am available for any questions regarding rack sizes, specific dishwasher model fittings, or assembly!

Need a different height? If the 80mm clearance doesn't fit your specific setup, send me a message—I can provide versions with different dimensions to suit your needs.

Recommended Materials & Print Settings

  • Material: ASA is highly required for the dishwasher's harsh environment. My prototype was PETG but I don't think it will hold for long after some hot cycles. DO NOT USE PLA.
  • Orientation: Print on the Side for maximum structural strength (layer lines running the length of the bracket).
  • No Supports/Brims: Designed for clean, support-free printing.
  • Walls: Use 6 loops for a solid, high-strength core, with 40% infill.

⚠️ Safety & Maintenance Disclaimer

  • Pre-Wash Inspection: Always inspect all 6 adapter clips and the 3rd rack structural integrity before starting a wash cycle. Ensure there are no visible cracks, layer separation, or warping from previous high-heat cycles.
  • Material Integrity: Only use ASA or high-temp-rated filaments; using PLA or standard PETG may lead to catastrophic failure during the drying cycle.
  • Liability: This is a DIY modification to your appliance. I am not responsible for any damage to your dishwasher, dishware, or home in the event of a part failure. Use of this system is entirely at your own risk.
  • Operational Caution: Ensure the 80mm clearance is sufficient for your middle rack items and that the 3rd rack does not interfere with the top spray arm's rotation.
