Description

Create clean, personalized name signs in seconds. Just enter your name to generate a perfectly aligned design with a bold, 3D initial.

Why You’ll Like It

  • Fast & Easy: Fully customizable in the browser.
  • Modern Aesthetic: A clean look that works for gifts or decor.
  • Print-Friendly: Designed to print without supports.

🚀 How to Customize

  1. Click the "Customize" button.
  2. Type your name in the name_text field; the large initial updates automatically.
  3. Adjust font sizes or offsets for longer names if needed.
  4. Download and print!.

⚠️ Important: Freestanding Stability

If your initial has a curved or pointed bottom (S, G, O, C, J, U, V, W, etc.), please enable the "Flat Base" option in the customizer.

  • This provides the surface area needed for the model to stay upright on the build plate.
  • Stable letters like E, H, L, and M do not strictly require this.

✨ Pro Tip: The "Textured Matte" Finish for the letter

To get the high-end look seen in the photos, adjust these two settings in your slicer:

  • Top Surface Pattern: Change to “Hilbert Curve”. This creates a woven texture that hides layer lines.
  • Top Surface Density: Set to 60%. This creates a unique "sand" or "matte fabric" feel.

For the Name (Smooth Look):

Once you sent the letter to print then you apply this setting for the name.

  • Enable Ironing: To ensure the name text has a perfectly smooth, professional finish, enable "Top Surface Ironing" in your slicer settings. This contrast between the textured initial and the smooth name makes the design pop.

Want a specific name personalized?

If you don't want to use the customizer, just drop the name in the comments and I’ll add it when I can!

If you enjoy the model, photos and boosts are always appreciated! 😊

Pro Tip - How to Get the Textured Surface

You can change 2 setting

Top Surface Pattern: Change this to Hilbert Curve. Unlike standard lines, this creates a complex, non-directional woven texture that hides print lines beautifully.

Top Surface Density: Set this to 60%. Reducing the density of the final layer creates small, intentional gaps that give the surface a unique "matte fabric" or "sand" feel.

📍 Handling the "Dot" on 'i' and 'j'

If you use a lowercase i or j, the dot (tittle) might sometimes land outside the boundary of the large initial. You have two simple solutions:

  • Option 1: Remove the Dot Simply delete the dot in your slicer or use an uppercase I or J in the customizer to keep the design compact.
  • Option 2: Reattach in the Slicer (Recommended) To keep the dot while ensuring it prints as one solid piece:
    1. Right-click the name object and select "Split to Objects".
    2. Manually move the dot down until it overlaps with the letter below it.

Important: Select both the dot and the letter, right-click, and select "Merge". This ensures the printer sees them as one single part.
