These models were designed based upon my own need to plug the vacuum hole of my Ego WDV0900 9 Gallon vacuum because of vacuuming up some live small bugs that were taking over my shed. The added benefit of the plugs is that they made it even easier to store the vacuum in a smaller space, such as a storage cabinet. My current storage cabinet, which is used to house the vacuum and my Multi-Head system Power Head, 2x Attachments, and an Ego Blower, is only 27" W x 17" D inside, so the vacuum wouldn't fit well in such a space if the hose was attached. With the hose attached, a comfortable width is a minimum of 29-30", so trying to keep the hose attached was putting a lot of stress on the hose. Thus, the hole plugs/caps were born.
This profile includes 2 models for the Ego WDV0900 9 Gallon Vacuum: 1 for Blower Hole; 1 for the Vacuum Hole. Each plug is unique to the specific hole in question and is clearly labeled via engraved lettering (bottom surface when printing). When you first install the plug for the vacuum, it is recommended to put the plug in and pull it out a few times to wear down the points of the catches on either side a little, but it's not a required step. With the vacuum plug, it's also recommended to pull the right side of the plug out until the catch releases (about ¼ inch) and then to pull out the left side. The left side seems to be a bit snugger of a fit, even though it may just be the craziness of how Ego decided to build these holes (nothing is straight, actually symmetric, etc.). You can also pull on both sides at the same time to remove the vacuum hole plug; you may just need to brace the front of the vacuum so that it doesn't roll/move. The Blower hole plug should just be a matter of pulling on the tab that sticks out to the top-left when you go to remove it. I did not build any catches into that plug, since it did not seem to need them.
