Description

I wanted a sturdy way to mount my Garmin Echomap (UHD 74SV) to the Hobie H-Rail on my solo skiff. My solution is a low-profile and strong when compared to most “modular” solutions like the ball or Scotty mounts that tend to shake around a lot.

It does require 8 M4x16 screws and 8 M4 bolts.

I printed out an ABS to deal with the Texas heat. PETG may work for milder climates. I would not recommend PLA for this print, as it will very quickly become weak with the heat out on the water.

Mounting is a little difficult due to a lack of foresight on my part. I taped pieces of paper into the bolt holes to keep them in place while mounting to the rail. THEN mount the Garmin bracket to the print. This goes much more easily.
