This is a replacement impeller/fan wheel designed for Briggs & Stratton Series 4/175 500cc. The part features evenly spaced radial blades and a reinforced center hub for mounting on the engine shaft. It is intended to provide airflow for cooling and debris extraction during engine operation.
The model is optimized for FDM printing and should be printed upright to ensure the blades remain dimensionally accurate and structurally strong. Supports are required under the blades and around the central hub.
Recommended Print Settings:
- Orientation: Print upright (center hole facing down)
- Supports: Yes, everywhere
- Layer height: 0.20 mm
- Walls: 3–4 perimeters
- Infill: 40–60% (Gyroid or Grid)
- Material: PETG or ABS recommended for heat resistance
- Cooling: Moderate (avoid overcooling to prevent layer bonding issues)
Notes:
Ensure the center bore is clean after printing. Light sanding may be needed for a perfect fit on the shaft. PETG is recommended for durability and vibration resistance.
