Magnetic NRL Rugby League Tracking Ladder

Requested by a Patreon, inspired by magnetic sports ladder displays seen online.

Keep track of the NRL ladder each week with this magnetic fridge ladder 🏉

Each team bar is removable so you can quickly reorder the standings after every round. Designed to be simple, clean and easy to print with bold team colours and raised lettering. The main board mounts straight onto the fridge or any magnetic surface with 7x 10x3mm Neodymium magnets installed in the rear.

BEFORE PRINTING

1. Dry your filament before printing.
   If the filament has absorbed moisture it can slightly expand during printing, which may affect the fitment of the team bars. The slots are intentionally designed as a tight fit so the teams stay locked in place and do not fall out every time the beer fridge gets slammed shut 🍻
    
2. I have reduced the weight of the ladder as much as possible, however, magnet quality makes a huge difference. Some curved fridge doors can cause the ladder to slowly slide down if weaker magnets are used. During testing, cheap magnets held fine on flat magnetic surfaces but struggled on curved fridge doors.
    
3. The magnet pockets are intentionally designed as a tight press fit as this is a zero-glue design. Place the ladder face down on a flat surface and gently tap the magnets into place. 
   
   If your printer is slightly over-extruding or your tolerances are too tight, let me know and I can release an alternative version with larger tolerances designed for glued magnets.
    

I recommend using high-quality neodymium magnets for the best hold. After switching to stronger magnets, the ladder held securely without issues.

Cheap AliExpress magnets may not be strong enough, depending on your fridge surface.

Design Notes
All files are uploaded exactly as printed unless specified otherwise in project description (normally under a bold, red IMPORTANT). Some designs use different scaling (e.g. drinks lightbox series: front plate 90%, back plate 100%). If resizing, double-check your scale before printing.

All designs are created in Autodesk Fusion. Colours are separated in the Objects tab of Bambu Studio, so you can easily recolour if needed (e.g. single AMS setups).
