Description

This is a drawing tablet stand that sits over your keyboard. I designed it so that when you are drawing you can easily reach your keyboard. When I started using my drawing tablet I found it frustrating to have to reach for my keyboard every time, and it slowed down the creative process a lot. My desk isn't very large, so I began working on a solution that would let me draw and use my keyboard as compactly and easily as possible. The result is this stand that is large enough to fit a keyboard under it, and you can also choose the desired inclination. I was thinking of making it parametric, but I still don't know how to do that.

Leaving a boost really shows how much you value the models I make. It takes so much time to develop well-designed models, and so much filament is spent on prototypes. I'd appreciate it so much if you boosted this model, it really helps me improve.

but how are you accessing the keyboard if the tablet is on top?

The main selling point is to be able to reach the ctrl+z key easily. Since I don't use a drawing tablet that often, having to make space to use it on my cramped desk is a bit of a pain. So I came up with this idea. You can see that in the photos, the model does not cover the whole keyboard, and that lets me use all my favourite shortcut keys. If you have an idea to improve this model, you can leave a comment, and I'll see what I can do about it😁

Does this stand work with the Wacom CTL-472 drawing tablet? Thanks, great idea!

No it doesn't, that tablet is too small for this stand. You can try to customize the size of the pieces in cad. Tinkercad is very easy to use and is totally free.
