Commodore A10+ Large Speakers
Print Profile(1)

Description
I made this so I could have decent sound and speakers looked somewhat period authentic when using my Commodore 64.
This is based on the Commodore A10 speakers nicely drawn by Sebastian G. in Sketch up.
I re-designed them to be bigger and adjusted the knob locations and grill in order to house a set of Logitech Z63 speakers,
I also added some grooves the the sides to give it a Commodore 64-ish look
The knobs are located to allow operation the on/off, volume and bass controls of the Z63's - the subwoof box sits elsewhere.
The on/off button is the middle “O” of the Commodore word on the front panel.
The printed knobs need to be attached to the Z63, I used hot staples and plastic welding using a soldering iron.
Use self tapping screws to joint the case halves, back panel and the wedge hinge.
All the The holes sizes in the model are just a pilot guide, drill out to suit appropriate screw size
The wedges are used under the Z63s to achieve angle alignment of the knobs of the “master” speaker only.
In the final position, the wedges will need to be glued to underside of the Z63 and to the case.
I printed the body and cover in eSun PLA+ and painted with colour matched automotive textured paint.
The grills where printed using Sunlu PLA 2.0+ , Roast Chestnut colour - not an exact match for the Commodore brown, but best I could find locally.
Removing the support from under the grills is a challenge, just go slowly. This print orientation and tree support produces the best finish, but lots of support to remove.
