Description
Bring mythology and function to your desk with this Atlas Globe Secret Storage Bowl — a decorative 3D printed statue where Atlas holds the world on his shoulders, but with a twist: the globe opens into a hidden storage compartment.
I designed this model in Blender as a compact desktop sculpture with visible large continents and a clean, bold shape that prints beautifully even at smaller sizes. The hollow split globe lets you safely store small valuables like USB drives, rings, keys, SD cards, coins, or other tiny important items.
I printed this prototype on my Bambu Lab X2D using dual extruders:
- Left nozzle: Bronze PLA Basic
- Right nozzle: Support for PLA
This setup made support removal super easy and kept the statue clean and detailed. But don’t worry — you can also print it with a single nozzle using standard PLA for supports.
The result is both practical and stylish: a mythological desk organizer, hidden storage box, and eye-catching decorative figure in one print.
