Make Your Own Hitch Receiver Cover!
Print Profile(2)

Description
Customizable and swappable hitch receiver covers for Class3 - 2" receivers are now here!
The covers are swappable using a simple dovetail joint and snap that locks it into place. Use a flathead screwdriver or something similar to pop it loose and change it out. They do fit pretty snug and might need some wiggling, but that's intended as I don't want it rattling around or coming loose while driving.
I have provided a 70mm x 70mm template .3mf that you can import into Bambu Studio or any other slicer. Once in the slicer you can add any SVG as a modifier and color it from there! I'll have some simple instructions down below for this.
I have also included the same template as a .STEP file for those who want to import into a 3D modeling software, though i'm thinking i'll need to take the filleted edges off for that for people to really use it well… please let me know if that's an issue!
Both the insert and the cover are parametric.
For the cover: If you want a bigger cover, simply edit the size in the parametric customization tool to make it whatever you want it to be!
For the insert: I have found that the distance of the center of the hitch-pin hole to the receiver opening varies wildly. If you want your cover to sit flush with your receiver, measure from the center of the hitch-pin hole to the receiver opening. Use that distance in the insert's parametric customization tool. The insert profile I have included is for a pin distance of about 2.5"(66.9mm), which sits flush on my Curt class 3 receiver, but I have found that even the same brand has different distances. Measure first if that matters to you!
Instructions on adding an SVG as a modifer to your model in Bambu Studio:
1.) Adding the SVG

2.) Edit the SVG and positioning

3.) Coloring the newly created modifier and orienting the model for printing face down

5.) Slicing the model and reviewing the color changes before printing!
