This is a focus gear for Nauticam N120 housings for the Nikon Z 105mm 2.8f macro lens. It allows the focus/zoom wheel on Nauticam housings for Nikon Z cameras to be used to manually adjust the focus underwater. It works with all N120 Nikon Z housings (except the one for the Nikon Z6III).

The design consists of two printable parts. A rigid plastic gear made of PETG and a soft rubber friction sleeve made of TPU. The TPU part is pulled over the focus ring of the lens. (You do NOT need to remove the rubber grip of the lens, which is sometimes required with similar gears) The PETG gear is then pushed over the TPU ring. It should grip firmly and not easily slip or rotate. If you find it too loose, I simply glued both parts together with superglue, which can achieve an optimal result. To insert the camera or lens into the housing, raise the gear on the housing (gray mechanism next to the wheel) and then lower it again so it locks into place.

There are two TPU sleeves in the project. One is 0.5mm thinner. I would start with that one, it should fit well.

The original Nauticam product costs around 250€, so you can save a lot here.

The gear should be made of PETG, no more advanced materials are required.

The TPU sleeve must be made of TPU 95. Print the TPU slowly at 30mm/s.
