In Greek mythology, Mother Earth "Gaia" is considered a primordial deity, an eternally fertile source of all that exists.
Origin and meaning: Gaia (or Ge) is the primordial goddess and the personification of the Earth. The term means "earth" or "soil" in the original Greek.
