Description

The Tip-Proof Propagation Pod

If you propagate plants, you know the struggle: a heavy Monstera leaf or a long Pothos vine instantly makes standard propagation tubes top-heavy, leading to tipped glasses and water all over your windowsill.

The Propagation Pod solves this with a mathematically designed, ultra-stable flared base. It features a beautifully clean, modern aesthetic that looks like high-end decor, keeping the focus exactly where it belongs—on your growing plants!

✨ Key Features:

  • Extreme Stability: The wide conical base prevents heavy or leaning cuttings from tipping the tube over.
  • Botanical "Flask" Rim: The top lip is perfectly rounded on both the inside and outside. This elegant touch prevents sharp plastic edges from bruising or cutting into delicate plant stems.
  • Watertight Design: Engineered with a solid 4mm thick floor to safely hold water for weeks at a time.
  • Minimalist Silhouette: A smooth, rib-free exterior that looks stunning in earthy tones like terracotta, matte white, or stone textured filaments.

📏 4 Included Sizes (Inner Diameter x Height): The included print profile contains plates for four perfectly dialed-in sizes to fit any cutting:

  • Small & Short (15mm x 50mm): Perfect for tiny nodes or shallow shelves.
  • Small & Tall (15mm x 70mm): Great for longer, skinnier stems.
  • Large & Short (25mm x 70mm): Ideal for thicker, chunkier cuttings.
  • Large & Tall (25mm x 100mm): The ultimate pod for massive leaves and extensive root systems.

🖨️ Printing & Watertight Tips: Because FDM 3D printing relies on layer lines, water can sometimes find microscopic paths to seep through if not printed carefully.

  • Material: PETG is highly recommended. It has superior layer adhesion and water resistance compared to PLA. (PLA will work, but may slowly weep water over several days).
  • Walls/Perimeters: Use 3 to 4 wall loops to guarantee a thick, leak-proof outer shell.
  • Bottom Layers: Ensure your bottom shell thickness is set to at least 3mm-4mm.
  • Waterproofing Hack: If you print in PLA or experience a slow micro-leak, simply brush a quick layer of clear nail polish, super glue, or epoxy onto the inside floor of the tube. It will seal the plastic permanently!
