Description

"Preparing scavenger protocol... R O O K O N L I N E"

A ROOK frame is a scavenger's best friend. These base robotic frames are typically utilized by the UESC and various corporations for manual and heavy labor. RUNNERS have taken to augmenting these simple frames to house a limited-use neural sync adapter allowing the RUNNER to inhabit the ROOK for short periods without too much mental degradation. Because they are not SHELLS, each ROOK has only a small set of kit-bashed ABILITIES and fully lack the functionality to be upgraded via IMPLANTS and CORES. Though some variety of standard system upgrading can be achieved, a ROOK will never match the full complement of ABILITIES, comfort, and general utility inherent in more advanced bio-cybernetic SHELLS.

Rook Strong Together.

Based on the Rook runner shell from Marathon, now you can print your own scavenged kit-bashed bot. Built from repurposed UESC parts, this simple frame was modeled with the Dummy 13 figure as the base, with many Dummy 13 accessories available to mix and match with.

At 100% scale, the Rook stands at about 5.5 inches tall.

I followed the Dummy 13 recommended print settings, and enabled supports as some parts will need it.

Layer height: 0.15mm

Infill: 20%

Supports: Normal (auto)

Brim: only as needed

Perimeter (heh) generator: Arachne (heh)

You can follow the general assembly instructions in the remix source below.

See you on Tau Ceti, runner.
