Description

Guy Ring / Support Brackets for Fiberglass Telescopic Antenna Masts

These STL files contain a set of guying support brackets designed for the WiMo Fiberglass Heavy Duty telescopic antenna mast, but they may also be used with other fiberglass or telescopic masts that have compatible tube diameters.

The parts were designed to help stabilize the mast, reduce excessive flexing, and improve overall support when carrying wire antennas under wind load and other outdoor environmental conditions. They are especially useful for amateur radio operators who use temporary, portable, field-day, or semi-permanent antenna setups.

The set includes brackets for different mast section diameters:

  • 14.5 mm
  • 20.7 mm
  • 27.5 mm
  • 31.1 mm
  • Top section guying bracket

The brackets can be fitted onto the relevant mast sections and used with guy ropes, paracord, or similar tensioning lines. They are intended to distribute support more evenly along the mast and help keep wire antenna installations more stable.

Although these parts were originally designed around the WiMo HD fiberglass mast, they can also be used on any other antenna mast, fiberglass pole, or telescopic support tube with matching or very close outer diameters. Please check the actual diameter of your mast before printing or installing the parts.

Designed For

  • Amateur radio antenna setups
  • Wire antennas
  • Portable field operations
  • Temporary or semi-permanent mast installations
  • Fiberglass telescopic masts
  • Outdoor antenna experiments

Printing Recommendations

For outdoor use, PETG, ASA, or ABS is recommended. PLA may be suitable for short-term testing, but it is not ideal for long-term outdoor exposure, especially under sunlight and heat.

Suggested print settings:

  • Material: PETG / ASA / ABS
  • Infill: 40% or higher
  • Walls: 4 or more
  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • Supports: Depending on print orientation
  • Test fit before final installation

Important Note

These brackets are designed to improve mast stability and guying support. They do not increase the official load rating of the mast. Always evaluate wind conditions, antenna weight, guy rope tension, and installation safety before use.

Designed by TA1XF for the amateur radio community.
