Description
Legend has it that masters who print this Tower of Babel model can make millions and retreat
The Tower of Babel, also known as the Tower of Babylon, was a tall religious edifice constructed under the supervision of King Nebuchadnezzar II of the Neo-Babylonian Kingdom and his father, Nabopolassar. The base and height of the tower were both approximately 96 meters. It was once the tallest building in Babylon. Its name in Hebrew means 'confusion,' while in Babylonian, it means 'Gate of God.' The difference stems from the Jewish curse on Babylon. The tower body was divided into eight levels, with a temple to Marduk built at the top, serving functions for religious rituals, astronomical observation, and military lookout [1]. The tower was originally built during the Old Babylonian period, undergoing multiple destructions and reconstructions. Nebuchadnezzar II eventually completed the construction of the temple at the top of the tower. After the Persian occupation in 539 BC, it gradually fell into disrepair. Attempts to repair it during the time of Alexander the Great were unsuccessful. In 1899, German archaeologist Robert Koldewey confirmed the site, and measured the tower base, which largely matched historical records.
