Description
This clutch alignment tool is made for GS6-37 transmission found in many 2000s BMWs, its has smaller input shaft compared to larger GS6-53 one.
GS6-37 transmission can be found on following vehicles:
E46 - 325i, 330i, 325iX, 330iX, 320d
E90 - 330i, 320d
E60- 520i, 530i, 320d
E87, 130i, 118d, 120d
E53, E63, E83, E84, E85
This tool aligns clutch friction plate to clutch pressure plate for straightforward installation of transmission.
Use for the tool:
Clean flywheel friction surface and clutch pressure plate friction surface, take clutch friction plate and install the alignment too into hole in the middle so that thinner end points toward engine. Install clutch pressure plate with tool into flywheel, smaller end of the tool will fit into pilot bearing to center clutch pressure plate. Then install clutch pressure plate and torque bolts according to BMW guideline for your vehicle.
