Description
Kawagebo Peak (also known as Kawaboge Peak) is located in Deqin County, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, and is the main peak of Meili Snow Mountain and the highest peak in Yunnan Province, with an elevation of 6740 meters. It is known as the head of the eight sacred mountains in the Tibetan area, and is currently under apermanent climbing ban. This mountain peak, meaning "Peak of White Snow" in Tibetan, has typical oceanic glaciers. Due to its steep terrain, changeable climate, and religious cultural reasons, no one has successfully summited it to this day.
