The Problem

My desk is always covered with stuff — pens, sticky notes, a Switch, a card, a tiny plant. None of it is really clutter. I use all of it. But it sits in the middle of my workspace, and there's no good way to keep it close without keeping it in the way.

I didn't want to hide these things. I just wanted them to step aside.

The Idea

How It Works

🔹 The Base — Clamps onto any desk between 18–40mm thick. No drilling, no tools, no damage. Five seconds to install, five seconds to move.

🔹 Three-Slot System — Each base has three standard slot heights (low, mid, high). Drop in any compatible insert and it locks into place.

🔹 Modular Inserts — Pen tray, sticky note slot, card stand, mini planter, Switch dock, speaker cradle, and more. Pick the ones your desk actually needs.

🔹 Chain It — Bases connect end-to-end. One base for a corner setup. Three or more for a full-length desk.

🔹 Open Protocol — The slot dimensions are public. Design your own inserts and share them with the community. edgy isn't just a product — it's a system to build on.

Customize for Your Desk

The base is designed for a 25mm desktop thickness by default — the most common range for IKEA, office, and home desks.

If your desk is thicker or thinner, open the source file and adjust the clamp opening to match. I recommend leaving an extra 0.1mm of clearance on both the top and bottom surfaces for a smooth, friction-free fit.
