Since I didn't want to buy a separate tube cutter to shorten my handlebars, I quickly designed and printed this 'sawing jig'

With it, I was able to shorten my handlebars with a simple hacksaw

The cut should of course be deburred afterwards

It works great and saved me some money

It has two different sides for precise shortening

10mm

15mm

This allows the sawing jig to be slid onto the handlebar up to the desired measurement

Additionally there is an opening through which you can also see your own marking

For locking, you can simply install an M4 x 30 mm hex socket screw with a matching M4 nut

This way the sawing jig can be fixed and will not slip

However, for my cut, I even did without the screw and it still produced a clean cut without any problems

Have fun with it

I always appreciate feedback and don´t forget to….
