AIM-174B Long-Range Air-to-Air Missile – approx. Scale 1:50
This model represents the AIM-174B in 1:50 scale. It was developed as a display and collector's model and is particularly suitable for use with COBI aircraft models of the same scale
The model was specifically adapted to the proportions and construction of COBI aircraft so that it integrates cleanly and coherently. The focus is on a realistic external shape and correct proportions, while the geometry was simultaneously optimized for reliable printing on common FDM 3D printers. This creates a balanced compromise between detail, stability, and printability
Assembly and Display Options
The AIM-174B is designed as a separate attachment and can be flexibly mounted on various aircraft models. It is suitable for realistic operational representations under wings as well as for independent presentations in dioramas or collections
Optimized for COBI Compatibility
During development, special attention was paid to ensure that the model harmonizes well visually and proportionally with COBI jets. It ideally complements existing models and expands the possibilities for individual loadouts and realistic displays
Background: The AIM-174B
The AIM-174B is a modern long-range air-to-air missile with a long range and a distinctive, slender design. Characteristic features include its elongated fuselage and clearly defined control surfaces, which are designed for high stability and range. These external features were reproduced as accurately as possible to scale in this model
Model Creation
This model was designed at the request of Kit2925 and subsequently fully optimized for 3D printing. Special emphasis was placed on harmonious proportions, clean printability, and good compatibility with 1:50 scale aircraft models

Cobi offers the individual jets in many different (especially color) versions, which, however, should not affect compatibility with my models, with a few exceptions (see above). If you find any other exceptions, please feel free to write to me!
