Expandable Shed Gutter System - Low Profile

This expandable shed gutter system is designed specifically for narrow fascia boards. Its low-profile design makes it ideal for sheds where standard gutters are too tall or bulky.

I created this system to efficiently divert rainwater from a shed roof into a rain barrel. The modular design features fully expandable, interlocking sections, along with fittings that allow you to route water to either the left or right side of your shed.

The downspout is designed to accept 1½" PVC pipe with a snug friction fit. A threaded downspout with a locking nut is included—simply slide the downspout through the gutter and secure it in place by tightening the nut.

Each gutter section includes two pilot holes for mounting. I used 2½" stainless steel screws, installing one screw per section, which provided a secure hold.

Each gutter section measures:

• 240 mm (9.45 in) long
• 57 mm (2.24 in) high
• 74 mm (2.91 in) wide
• Walls are 6mm

Three gutter sections fit on a single print plate, producing just over 2 feet (610 mm / 24 in) of gutter per print. Additional gutter sections in varying lengths are included to help you achieve a clean final fit without ending up too long or too short.

While the interlocking joints fit tightly, they are not completely watertight. For best results, seal all seams with silicone. If possible, install the gutter with a slight slope—approximately 1–2 degrees (or about 1 inch per 11 feet)—to ensure proper drainage.

Supports are required for printing. I printed in PLA but PETG or ASA would be required for longevity.
