Description

Army Combat Medical Badge (CMB) Plaque

Description:

This highly detailed 3D printed model is a stunning plaque representation of the official United States Army Combat Medical Badge (EFMB). Perfect for military history enthusiasts, veterans, and medical professionals, this piece is a meaningful display for a desk or wall.  The badge is issued to Army medical personnel that treat wounded during combat operations.

This model is a detailed, large-scale reproduction of the Army Combat Medical Badge (CMB). Designed specifically as a presentation plaque for display, it faithfully captures the intricate elements of the original badge: the central caduceus symbol (the snakes and staff with the cross) over a main panel, flanked by detailed overarching wings and a wreath base.

Optimized Print Settings:

The included slicer settings have been meticulously dialed in to minimize layer lines and maximize aesthetic quality. For the best results straight off the build plate, I recommend the following parameters:

  • Nozzle Size: 0.4mm for the default scale. (Note: If you reduce the scale significantly, I highly recommend switching to a 0.2mm nozzle to preserve the ultra-fine details).
  • Layer Height: 0.12mm - 0.16mm to capture the intricate textures.
  • Infill: 15% (Gyroid) for an ideal balance of weight and structural durability.
  • Orientation: Print flat on its back to ensure optimal bed adhesion and a pristine top-surface finish.

Pro-Tip: Print this in Matte Grey PLA, dark grey PETG, or a carbon fiber/marble blend to give it a truly authentic, tactical finish! (Display Model Printed in PLA Marble).  If using filament with additives, do not use smaller layer heights due to the likelihood of nozzle clogging.

Thanks for the support, and happy printing!
