Description
Protect your car's paint and prevent rattling with this floating license plate riser!
I recently had to get a new plate and didn't want to purchase another foam backing. There were other options online that looked easy enough to design and print on my own for less than a $0.50 rather than spend $13+, so I went ahead and designed a similar riser for everyone to enjoy!
- Adds a gap between the license plate and the vehicle
- Provides dampening to prevent the plate from rattling and/or rubbing on the cars paint
- Curved to reduce the contact patch between the vehicle and the plate holder
- The FLAT side sits on the plate. The CURVED side should arch AWAY from the vehicle
Yes I could have just printed 4 grommets/spacers, but this is easier to handle and I wanted to test my design skills a little bit.
I have not used it for very long. Low quality or softer TPU might damage paint or leave residue. I haven't used mine long but it hasn't left anything behind yet (JAYO 95A TPU). Please be sure to double check after driving on a hot day or two to see if anything is left behind.
