Super cute! Multi-jointed articulated Nile Crocodile, rich surface details/few supports/low layer lines/no large flat surfaces/separated parts/suitable for hand painting/ball joint structure
Print Profile(2)

Description
An articulated chibi model based on the Nile crocodile, featuring up to 8 double-headed spherical joints with bidirectional movement. The tail, limbs, and head are all articulated, and combined with rich, detailed skin textures, it presents a super ugly-cute cartoon image
Choose your own base color filament and add personalized hand-painting to create your desktop "Crocodile King"
Design Features:
- By separating parts with spherical joints, not only are print support surfaces hidden, but all model surfaces can be printed vertically, minimizing layer lines. Combined with matte material and a 0.16mm layer height, it nearly achieves an injection-molded look
- The double-headed spherical joints separate the model parts from the connectors, allowing individual adjustment of the joint parts based on different material sinkage rates and desired damping/articulation angle, without needing to reprint the model parts
- Similar to my previous animal works, it features rich surface details, separate eyeball parts, and is easy to hand-paint
v1.1 Update: Fixed the eyeball issue for the 27cm long version; additionally, both versions of the eyeballs now have only a 0.3mm gap for easier installation

Print & Filament Instructions (print profile has been tested and adjusted; please do not change unless necessary)
- The tail (3 sections), limbs, head, and eyeballs are printed as separate parts, with print planes modeled for all except a few small components
- Default 8% gyroid infill. If you want to save more material, you can change it to lightning infill (though it lacks texture and is not recommended)
- Filament recommendations:
- Main body: Choose a basic color, such as PLA Matte Dark Green or PLA Matte Desert Yellow. If hand-painting completely, white matte PLA is recommended
- Eyeballs: Choose a basic color, PLA Silk Gold is recommended
Support Removal & Installation Instructions
- Support removal is not difficult. Note that it's not necessary to meticulously clean all supports from the spherical joint connectors; leaving a small amount of support can increase joint damping
- It is recommended to firmly press and stick the eyeballs with a small amount of Blu Tack after painting
- Spherical joints can be pressed in firmly, with a default 0mm protrusion. Due to PLA's deformability, they may become looser over time
- If the joint fit is too loose/too tight or you want to adjust the articulation angle, you can optionally print additional double-headed spherical joints (to be uploaded later) for self-testing
Painting Instructions & Suggestions
- Painting should follow the rule of light colors first, then dark. For delicate parts (eyeballs), pay special attention to potential ink bleeding caused by FDM layer lines (especially with dark pens), and use a dabbing method for coloring. It is recommended to print extra eyeballs in case of painting errors
- For the body, acrylic paints are recommended. If acrylic markers lack gradients, you can use a wet tissue to blend the edges
- Acrylic paint application:
- Thin base coat: Add a small amount of water to acrylic paint, mix well, then brush onto the model surface repeatedly to create a beautiful gradient
- Thick color: Apply acrylic paint directly to the model surface without adding water
- Acrylic marker application:
- For the leopard print spots, dab with a black acrylic marker. You can refer to the uploaded image or use your creativity
