Description

This is a window vent that includes provisions for a freestanding air conditioner that has a hose for hot air exhaust as well as a 4" diameter 3D printer exhaust vent. This is made specifically for my double-hung window that measures 26-5/16" wide. I make no guarantees that this will work for your application, but you may find some inspiration from the models. It is a long print at almost 20 hours. It is not optimized for printing, but is optimized for the end-use, so it does need a good deal of supports to print acceptably. I used white PETG and recommend PETG at least to be durable enough for long-term use when exposed to outdoor elements. I added some wax to the printer exhaust coupler as it was a bit tight when turning.

I don’t have the ability to edit the files, could you make the intake part just a spacer without the pass air pass thru. I might be able to figure out how to change the lengths to suit my needs.

In Bambu Studio, you can do what I think you want fairly easily. You can select the part and use the CUT feature, then merge the pieces back together. You will need to adjust to whatever length you need anyway, so this should be a reasonably simple part of the process.

Great idea, but I'd have to completely redesign it for my AC and my balcony door. The modular approach makes it very versatile. Found this on your YT.

Ya it certainly is not a universal design. I showed it merely to illustrate a solution to a problem, not that this solution will work exactly for your problem. Hopefully you glean some insight from it so you can create your own solution.

Hi EM, Thanks for the files, clean setup! Worked great for me with some modifications...ofc Are you able to share the port for the A/C unit as well, please and thank you!

Glad you found it useful. I don't have a model for the AC unit port, that's what came with the unit.

even though the design looks nice, Would NOT recommend because it is not universal! wasted $30 in filament to find out if you don't print it exactly like what they have it won't connect

Did you not read the description? It clearly states that this may NOT work for you application, that this is INSPIRATION for your own design. That, my friend, is on you for not paying attention.

Question: what fittings are foreseen in the project. Are you talking about the air conditioning outlet and the printer. Are they all in the project

The AC Unit has it's own connector that came with it. The printer hose coupler is part of this file set though.

Missing Model Parts:i wish it were more modular. it would be nice if it were designed to fit varuable window gap sizes, instead of only one specific set of measurements.

I understand the desire for additional modularity. I did state in the description that this is something I made for me specifically and the intent is to provide inspiration for others to take the models and modify as needed. Bambu Studio allows you to do some editing, but that does not replace a proper CAD system. If nothing else, this shows a means to connect pieces together in a secure way to help seal the seams and lock them together better than magnets or nothing like I've seen in some other variants. All the best and happy printing!
