This functional desk cable grommet is optimized for standard 60 mm drill holes. The design is a true Print-in-Place model: the hinge is integrated, and the entire part is printed in one piece without supports.
Features:
- No Support Needed: Saves time and material.
- Integrated Lid: Simply open, feed cables (e.g., USB-C) through, and close again.
- Surface Tip: For the elegant look in the photos, I used a carbon effect plate (PEI sheet). This gives the top side a professional finish.
- Installation Tip: If the drilled hole in the tabletop has a little too much play, the housing can simply be fixed with a drop of glue.
Print Settings:
- Material: PLA, PETG, or ABS.
- Layer Height: 0.2 mm.
- Walls: At least 3 wall lines for a stable hinge.
- Print Bed: An effect plate ensures the best visual result on the visible side.
