🦖 Baby Dino Hatching – Cute Display Print

Bring a little prehistoric charm to your space with this adorable baby dinosaur hatching from its egg! Designed with soft, rounded features and a playful expression, this piece makes a perfect decorative print for nurseries, kids’ rooms, or anyone who loves cute creatures.

The cracked egg shell frames the baby dino beautifully, creating a cozy “just hatched” moment. The smooth surfaces and gentle details make it ideal for clean, satisfying prints—especially in pastel colours.

Whether you’re printing it as a gift, display piece, or part of a themed collection, this design is made to be both eye-catching and easy to print.

  • 0.16mm (for cleaner face/details)

Walls:

  • 2–3 walls

Infill:

  • 10–15% (Gyroid or Grid)

Supports:

  • Minimal supports required based on slicer settings

Build Plate:

  • Textured PEI works perfectly

Adhesion:

  • Brim optional (only if you have adhesion issues)

Speed:

  • Standard PLA profile
  • Slow outer walls slightly for best surface finish

🌡️ Material Settings (PLA)

  • Nozzle: 200–220°C
  • Bed: 55–60°C
  • Cooling: 100% after first few layers

💡 Pro Tips for Best Results

  • Use pastel or matte PLA for a soft, premium look
  • If you notice roughness around the mouth or face and or top/bottom of the egg:
    • Lower outer wall speed
    • Reduce layer height slightly (0.16mm works beautifully)
  • Enable ironing on top surfaces for a super smooth egg finish
  • For extra detail, try a colour change at the face layer

📏 Scaling

  • Fully scalable to suit your needs
  • Recommended minimum size: 80% for clean facial detail
  • Larger prints (120–150%) look amazing as statement decor pieces
  • For personal use only (no commercial license included unless specified)
  • Ensure your printer is well-calibrated for best results
