Bracket for Smartwares Window Contact – flexible solution for extractor hood & tiled stove

Our chimney sweep recommended that we use a window opening sensor for operating the extractor hood – an important safety measure, especially in combination with a tiled stove.

We use the window contact from the Smartwares Door/Window Switch Set 10.043.95.

However, since we don't want to open a window every time the stove is not in operation, I designed this compact holder for the sensor.

The holder allows the window contact to be quickly removed or simply turned over when needed. This way, an open window can be “simulated” without actually having to open one – a simple and practical everyday solution.

Installation is straightforward and can be done, for example, with double-sided adhesive tape.
