This compact screw holder is the perfect addition for any standard bit holder (1/4" hex shank). It securely holds screws in position, allowing you to easily start them with just one hand – ideal for precise work, hard-to-reach places, or overhead tasks
The flexible plastic retaining clip reliably grips the screw without damaging it, while also allowing for quick insertion and removal
1. Preparation
- Place the screw into the holder (orange clip in front)
- Ensure the screw sits firmly in the holder and is aligned straight
2. Starting and Driving the Screw
- Position the screw at the desired spot in the workpiece (e.g., wood)
- Start the screwing process slowly
- The holder stabilizes the screw and prevents it from tilting or slipping when starting
3. Remove the Holder (important)
- Once the screw is ¾ into the material and guides itself:
- Briefly stop the driver
- Carefully pull the front holder (clip) off the screw
- The holder is only intended for the initial phase; otherwise, it will block complete countersinking
4. Drive the Screw Completely In
- Re-engage the driver (now without the holder)
- Drive the screw in completely until it sits flush or as desired in the material
Features:
- Compatible with all common 1/4" bit holders
- Facilitates starting screws with one hand
- Secure grip
- Ideal for woodworking, furniture making, and DIY projects
- Compact, lightweight, and quick to print
Notes
- Do not start at too high a speed – better to be controlled and slow
- Remove the holder in time to avoid damage
- Ideal for woodworking, assembly work, and tight spaces
