Description

Images are AI modified to remove lots of dog hair on the carpet and dirty carpet. Trust me, you don't want to see it and it's otherwise truthful to the problem, and the model. I'm game to provide originals on request if you really want it though but please don't request it as you don't need more things to bleach from your mind.

Trunk-floor handle used with the Toyota deck board assembly. This handle lets you lift up the floor easily without having to jam something tiny to lift it up or wear more on the OEM trunk handle. You can constantly lift it up for more storage or as a backup in case of an emergency where the OEM handle breaks.

The OEM trunk floor handle on mine broke off long ago. And looking at the Toyota OEM design where the handle meets the floor part, I think it's kinda flimsy crap and will break under repeated use.

You can print one, or two for both notches. Feel free to print it in PLA Basic for the “temporary” solution that turns permanent as it will still work great.

The orientation in the generated models or print profiles are correct, it needs to be printed on the side with support so the layer lines line up with the force when pulling up.

The surfaces touching the deckboard have knurling. If you don't want that, feel free to generate one without using Customize from the parametric model maker.

This model is generated as an original OpenSCAD re-imagining of https://makerworld.com/en/models/1582723-corolla-hatchback-trunk-floor-handle?from=search#profileId-1666001 . The re-imagining ports it to OpenSCAD, making available customizations, adds a rounded curve instead of a 90 degree corner to the bottom part to better distribute the load when pulling up, and adds knurling to the surfaces touching the deckboard for better grip. It may share some of the measurements and features but otherwise is an original shape.

Intended for 2019-2025 Toyota Corolla Hatchbacks equipped with a spare tire.

Fitment is unknown for the GR Corolla. It appears to have a similar notch on

the trunk floor, but the relevant floor/slot thickness has not been identified. I would imagine they might use something thinner and lighter to save weight

Fitment is also unknown for Corolla Hatchbacks with the Enhanced Cargo Space

option. I do not know whether those cars have the same slot or whether this

handle is applicable there.

Fitment also unknown for Corolla Hatchback Hybrids that aren't sold in the US.

If any of you try it, please let me know.
