Description
"Tekkaman Blade" is a science fiction TV anime produced by Japan's Tatsunoko Production, directed by Hiroshi Negishi, with Nobuaki Kishima and Hiroyuki Kawasaki as scriptwriters. It first aired on TV Tokyo from February 18, 1992, to February 2, 1993, with a total of 49 episodes. In 1994, Guangzhou Television introduced and dubbed the anime, which then premiered on Hangzhou Television on July 6 of the same year. [15-17] The series is set in United Earth Calendar year 192, depicting the invasion of Earth by the alien lifeform Radam. The protagonist, Takaya Aiba (D-boy), becomes a Tekkaman warrior through a transformation system and leads the Space Knights in resistance. The plot weaves through conflicts of family affection, friendship, and love, involving sci-fi elements such as the Equator Ring and an anti-matter cannon. A Blu-ray BOX edition was released in 2016, and its sequel, "Tekkaman Blade II," first aired as an OVA on July 21, 1994, with 6 episodes. [1-2] [18] [20-21] The spin-off "Tekkaman Blade SP" was released on February 18, 1998.
I imagine not many people have seen it, but its mecha design is truly fantastic.
