Description

Another rather self-explanatory model, if you're looking for this, you know what it is and you've found it :P

When your knob snaps off your prime rod, you can push this knob over the rod as a temporary (or permanent if you glue it) solution.

Not a bad idea to keep one handy if you're headed out on the water this summer!  Keep an eye out for further refined models!

The knob on my fathers boat snapped off and I'm now his go-to “can you make this?” guy!  So if this print works for you, you can thank

my dad for breaking the knob off his motor lol!

If you don't know what this is, it is the knob-end of the prime-rod for a 15hp (and potentially other sizes) Mercury boat motor.

The main profile I'm uploading is printing in Polycarbonate.  I'll upload some for ASA, PETG and PLA as well just to keep things accessible.

To print in the strongest orientation the model will need to be printed on its side as pictured below:

Note the location of supports and ensure yours are equally or more robust.

Also note that the two prongs are parralel in the vertical orientation.  Less supports required.

Ensure there is a support branch going into the hole in the base as pictured here:

I would suggest simply painting the tops of the letters afterward rather than printing in two colors.

I will still upload the profile with ASA orange letters/outline & PC black body when I get a second.

The one in the pictures I printed vertically (letters on the build plate).  You can always paint that yourself in a jif if you're feeling ambitious.

The PETG profile will be vertical as pictured below for easy printing through bambu handy:
