Dain Ironfoot is one of the most iconic characters from The Hobbit: a ruthless warrior, an uncompromising king, a feared commander. This model was born from the desire to do him justice in 3D printing, with a level of detail that captures every element of his identity: his crested helmet, his flowing beard, his lamellar armor, his double-bladed battle axe, and the mighty war boar armored with metal plates and sharp tusks.

🔹 Printing Tips
🌳 The Tree Organic supports are easily removed from most of the model. Pay attention to two specific areas:
- 🐗 Boar's tail: the supports in this area are denser and more confined — proceed calmly using fine-point snips
- ⚔️ Dain's Axe: the overhanging geometry requires supports that must be removed carefully so as not to damage the handle
🎨 The PLA Matte is highly recommended: it enhances the organic textures of the armor and the boar's fur much better than standard glossy PLA, and responds excellently to spray primer for those who wish to proceed with painting.
