Hello, I’ve started learning new life skills—specifically welding.
I began with flux-cored wire because it’s easier and more affordable than other types of welding.
The problem is that the smallest spool of welding wire is 1 kg, and it’s not practical for me to use it all at once.
Flux-cored welding wires, like 3D printing filaments, degrade when exposed to water and moisture—and worse yet, they oxidize.
I designed this box to protect the leftover wire after I’m done welding.
When the spool is placed inside the box, the remaining space is minimal. I fill this space with silica gel.
The box lid has tight-fitting threads to prevent contact with air.
There is an O-ring printed with TPU at the contact point between the lid and the box.
Thanks to this box, I can store the leftover welding wire for a long time.
I hope you enjoy it as much as i do.
May the perfect first layer be with you!
See you on the next design.
