Exclamation Award | a Trophy for Team Building

The Exclamation Award is a team building trophy that I build for my team at work. Here’s the main idea…

The trophy is handed out to one team member for something they did that demonstrated Excellence!, Leadership!, Team Work! or Great Work! The label on the trophy can be changed to match the award and the disk at the top can also be swapped out. Changing this out with magnets is both easy and very satisfying!

The trophy award is given out in a team setting with a small speech as to why this award is being given. This person (once they are done crying) can hold on to the trophy for a week or two until they see another team member do something awesome! The team member then passes the award on to the next team member and the cycle continues.

This is intended to build peer-to-peer encouragement! It is great to hear one team member acknowledging and encouraging another team member.

You can also just use this as a one time award for someone/something and even glue on the label and disk if desired…

Customizing the Exclamation Award

The words on the labels have been added using the text feature in Bambu Studio and can easily be changed or more created in the slicer.

The icons on the disks have been added using Bambu Studio by adding an SVG to the disk. I used icons from a free open source icon set called Lucide Icons — you can search for other icons and download them as SVG files on their website. These are printed face down to get a clean face for the disk.

I have included an extra plate with a blank disk on it. You can add you own text or icon to this disk for extra customization. You could also flip the disk over if you wanted to add a 3D element to it — I have done this for my company logo and the school mascot of there my wife works! This disk is optional of course…

Build Plates

1. Trophy Disks (4) with icons added as SVG objects. This requires an AMS for multicolor. Recommend contrasting colours
2. Trophy Top — single color — no AMS required
3. Trophy Base — single color — no AMS required
4. Trophy Labels (4) with text added in the slicer — the text is customizable in Bambu Studio
5. Blank Trophy Disk (optional) — you can add you own SVG or text to this disk in Bambu Studio

Magnets

This model uses 6mm x 2mm magnets that are available through Maker World on easily found on Amazon → these are the ones I ordered. I would suggest putting the magnets in the base first and then placing magnets on top of those magnets and then pressing the labels into the magnets — this will ensure that you have them going the proper way.

The magnets are a tight fit and should not need any glue.
