Description

A functional replacement for the frequently lost or damaged roof rail end caps on the Isuzu D-Max. This model has been engineered to match the original geometry while providing a secure fit. It was prepared by making a scan of broken part.

Technical Specifications

  • Compatibility: Isuzu D-Max (Factory Roof Rails).
  • Material Recommendation: ABS or ASA is mandatory. Do not use PLA, as it will deform under direct sunlight and high cabin/roof temperatures.
  • Features: Recessed mounting holes for a flush bolt-on installation.
  • Geometry: Optimized for FDM printing with minimal support requirements.

Print Settings (Recommended)

  • Material: ABS / ASA (for UV and heat resistance).
  • Wall Loops: 4 or more for structural integrity around the mounting points.
  • Infill: 20%–25% (Gyroid recommended for vibration resistance).
  • Supports: Required for the internal cavity and overhangs (Tree supports work best).
  • Adaptive Layer Height: Highly recommended for the top "dome" section. Use the Variable Layer Height tool in your slicer to transition to 0.08mm – 0.12mm on the curves. This will eliminate the "staircase effect" on the slopes while keeping the print time efficient.
