Description

Introduce your child to the foundations of literacy with these 3D-printable letter puzzles. Designed to simplify letter formation, these models help children recognize that all letters are just a combination of simple lines and curves. This hands-on approach builds confidence and fine motor skills as children progress from solving puzzles to building letters independently, and finally, to writing them with ease.

Educational Progression:

  • Assemble: Solve the puzzle by placing pieces into the base.
  • Build: Recreate letters using the same shapes freehand, without the base.
  • Write: Transition to paper by drawing the familiar shapes they’ve already mastered.

Print Details:
I have provided two different print profiles to accommodate your setup:

  • AMS Version: Optimized for multi-color printing with a Bambu Lab AMS.
  • Non-AMS Version: Includes pre-set pause points so you can manually change your filament halfway through the print for a two-tone effect.

File includes a storage box for easy clean-up. An additional storage compartment can be printed that stacks below the puzzle box to hold any extra letters you print as well all of your lines and curves.

Safety & Recommendations:

  • Recommended Age: 3 to 6 years old.

  • Warning: Choking hazard – Small parts. Not for children under 3 years. Please supervise children during play.

Want to add more shapes for loose parts play? Check out my other model Loose Parts Lines, Curves, and Circles for a bigger shapes.
