Bike U-Lock Holder (V1)

This U-lock holder is designed to make use of the standard bottle cage mounting points on your bike frame, allowing you to securely carry your lock without additional brackets or adapters, while also reducing the typical rattling noise between the shackle and lock body common in standard mounts.

The design is intended for installation on the seat tube area (around 31.6 mm diameter) and is optimized for Decathlon U-locks.

The mounting interface follows common bicycle standards:

• M5 screws (standard bottle cage bolts)
• ~64 mm mounting distance, with ±6 mm vertical adjustment thanks to slotted holes
   

Instructions

Mounting

• Position the holder on the bottle cage mounting points (seat tube area)
• Align the slotted holes with the frame inserts
• Use x 2 standard M5x~20 bottle cage screws to fix the holder
• Tighten securely, but avoid overtightening

Usage

• Insert the lock body first into the holder
• Then insert the U-shackle to complete the lock
   

Print Notes

• Material: PLA (tested with Bambu Lab PLA Matte)
• The model prints well without major issues
• A small amount of stringing may occur in the upper closure of the lower conical section (due to a short unsupported span), but it does not affect functionality
